L’Hymne des Trembles brings resort-style living to Mont-Tremblant

New residential project L’Hymne des Trembles brings resort-style living to Mont-Tremblant

January 20, 2023

From Aspen to the Alps, ski-in, ski-out resorts offer the height of luxury. Think chic and sumptuous accommodations plus the ultimate convenience of powder-covered slopes outside your door.

Taking the concept to new heights in Mont-Tremblant is upscale Montreal-based developer Brivia Group, teaming with internationally renowned YOO Studio. The new project, called L’Hymne des Trembles, is designed to attract not only skiers, but those who want to call the residential resort home year ‘round.

“We’re creating a new slope-side community with a unique and forward design approach and all the amenities of a world-class luxury resort,” says Kheng Ly, Brivia’s founder-president and CEO. “Less visible will be the eco-responsible building methods employed at every step.”

Recognized for groundbreaking luxury condo projects in downtown Montreal such as 1 Square Phillips and Yul, this is Brivia’s first foray into a residential resort. The L’Hymne des Trembles project will unfold on an expansive 14-hectare site in six phases. Nestled into the snow-capped hillside will be a carefully choreographed interplay of townhomes, condos and single-family homes.

The name hints at an ode to the popular ski destination that is Tremblant, in the heart of the Laurentians, 140 km north of Montreal. At the same time, “trembles” translates as aspen, evoking the lushly wooded mountainside on which it lies, Versant Soleil. It is known as the least-developed area of the mountain, and the developers are committed to preserving as much of the unspoiled forest as possible.

“Residents will have a host of activities nearby, but also enjoy living immersed in a serene environment and in harmony with nature,” Ly said.

Local inspiration, international design flair

Together, the L’Hymne des Trembles creative teams have crafted a vision that will see turnkey, beautifully designed homes impeccably finished inside and out, including outdoor living areas and landscaping.

The interior design is in the inspired hands of UK-based YOO Studio. Headed by Mark Davison, the firm deploys a collective of design visionaries around the globe. Leading design luminaries with which it has previously worked include Philippe Starck, Jade Jagger and Marcel Wanders. In tune with international trends, YOO’s approach is centred on reimagining living spaces in a way that is both aspirational and inspirational.

“YOO Design Studio also takes great care to both respect and incorporate local environment and community in its designs,” said Ly, “and this project is no exception.”

For the architecture, Brivia is once more teaming with the prestigious Montreal architectural firm MSDL. This award-winning firm is behind many iconic buildings in downtown Montreal, including Brivia’s 1 Square Phillips and YUL. Rounding out the team is the landscape architectural firm Projet Paysage, the Montreal firm behind several outstanding public spaces in the city and spas like Förena Cité Thermale.

Homeowners will enjoy private outdoor spaces accessible all year ‘round. Layouts include resort-worthy features like four-season terraces, outdoor whirlpools and fireplaces. For the skiers, there will be special lockers and boot dryers outside their doors. Some homes will feature complete outdoor kitchens as well.

A residential resort for all seasons

L’Hymne des Trembles will be the only project in the area with a ski lift for its residents’ exclusive use. Homeowners living closest to the ski lift will be able to literally strap on skis at their door and head out to the slopes. As well, a dedicated ski run will be at their disposal.

To cement its status as a true ski-in ski-out destination, the new project is partnering with Tremblant Village and Station Mont-Tremblant, which regularly tops best ski resort lists. Homeowners also will be eligible to join Club des Montagnards, a residents-only program with many sought-after perks, like first access to the slopes.

The lively night life of Mont-Tremblant Resort’s pedestrian village lies a short shuttle ride away and a pedestrian path leads to the nearby Casino Mont-Tremblant. For summer sports enthusiasts, the area also provides a host of outlets, from mountain biking, tennis and golf to lesser-known pursuits like summer luge, ziplining and climbing the via ferrata.
